This is one of my proudest moments as a creative director. My in-house ad concept for the launch of Kindle Fire was selected against our A-list agency partner pitches.
I focused the story on where Amazon had been, in order to show why our brand had the credibility and history to build tablet devices.
In 2011, I wrote, directed, and pitched this concept which was selected by Jeff Bezos to launch the first color screen Amazon tablet, named "Fire".
I built this pitch video on a shoestring budget with my internal production team. Even the voice over is mine. We then hired and managed an external agency to build it in 3D for broadcast. I am proud of how true to my original script we kept the final version, especially as feedback from Bezos was "no it's not right, get it back to that original idea!"
